Exhibition of the artist is autistic Marcus

In 2015 we organized the exhibition of an artist with autism Markus Martinovich at Zeppelin art gallery. The event was well attended and positively received by the media. More than 300 people visited the exhibition. Ten of Markus’ paintings were sold at the auction hosted by famous Russian actor Gosha Kutsenko. A child with special needs lent a helping hand to those who struggle even more. Part of the funds, received at the auction were donated to Shag Vmeste charity fund for children with cerebral palsy.

Markus never paints just for fun like the most of children do. Every painting of his is a well-thought-out act. Idea is the main detail. Markus spends a long time thinking working on ideas for his paintings. He looks for characters, then transforms into those characters (for example, into Ophelia from his favorite painting by Millais or into old nurse from German hospital), asking to take photos of him. Only after all of that he gets down to painting.
